Engine choices range from a 310 hp on Yukon XL 1500 4x4 to a 320 hp Vortec 5.3L V8 with gas-saving Active Fuel Management®, all the way up to an awesome 380 hp Vortec 6.2L V8 with variable valve timing (VVT). The trailer towing ratings are equally impressive, topping out at a whopping 4355 kg (9600 lb.).

At the touch of a button, Yukon's available power release fold-and-tumble second-row bucket seats tuck neatly out of the way to make room for cargo or allow easier access to the third-row seat. They can be operated from the driver's seat or via a button inside the cargo area.

Yukon XL
Yukon XL takes the idea of “full size” to extremes. Compared with Yukon, Yukon XL is 518 mm (20.4 in.) longer overall and it rides on a wheelbase that's longer by 356 mm (14 in.). The result is one of the largest, most spacious vehicles available. Three seating rows are standard, and properly equipped Yukon XL can seat up to 9 in comfort. Yukon XL also opens up an even higher level of capability, with a choice of 1500 or 2500 Series (half-ton and three-quarter ton configurations) and an available 366 hp Vortec 6.0L V8 engine on 1500 SLT models.
Yukon XL Denali
Yukon XL Denali is everything Yukon Denali is, and more. There's more 2nd- and 3rd-row leg room, and more 3rd-row shoulder room, too. There's also more cargo space - 1298 L (45.8 cu. ft.) behind the 3rd-row seat, and a whopping 3891 L (137.4 cu. ft.) of cargo volume with the 2nd- and 3rd-row seats stowed. Of course, because it's a Denali, Yukon XL Denali is comprehensively equipped. A power liftgate, power release second-row fold-and-tumble bucket seats, head curtain side air bags, power-adjustable pedals, a heated windshield washer system, Rainsense automatic windshield wipers, power sunroof, and Ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist are all standard equipment.
